Clinical Indications
Fecal Immunochemical Test (FITS) is useful for the detection of human hemoglobin from blood in stool samples, which may be indicative of gastrointestinal disease. This test can be used as part of routine physical examinations and in screening for colorectal cancer or other sources of lower gastrointestinal bleeding.
