Interpretation
Positive results indicate the presence of eggs of Enterobius
vermicularis.
A single negative result cannot exclude pinworm infection.
Preparation from 3 consecutive mornings are recommended.
Rejection Criteria
Scotch tape prep is the only acceptable specimen. Specimen other
than this will be rejected.
Preparations using opaque tape will be rejected.
